# Folder permissions

Pixavif saves converted images in `wp-content/uploads-pixavif`. If WordPress cannot create or write to that folder, nothing can be converted. Your originals are not affected.

**Warning**Never set folders to 777. If 755 does not work, the folder owner is wrong. Ask your host to fix the ownership instead.
